Medicine Beach, on North Pender Island, fronts one of the few remaining salt water marshes on the west coast. Bought through community fundraising and grants the beach, marsh and surrounding lands are now a protected area. Birdwatches spot many interesting species in the marsh and the general public enjoys a wonderful beach and a trail rising alongside the beach.
